What is responsive web design?

Responsive web design is a way of designing and building websites that ensures that they look and function well on any device, regardless of the screen size or resolution. This is increasingly important in today’s world, where people access the internet from a wide range of devices including smartphones, tablets, laptops, and desktop computers.

In order to create a responsive website, a designer must use a variety of techniques and technologies, including flexible grids, media queries, and responsive images.

Responsive web design vs adaptive web design

Responsive web design (RWD) and adaptive web design (AWD) are two approaches to creating websites that are designed to work well on a wide range of devices and screen sizes. While both approaches aim to create a seamless and optimal user experience across devices, they differ in the way they achieve this goal.

Responsive web design involves creating a single layout that adjusts itself automatically to fit the size of the screen it is being displayed on. This is achieved using a combination of HTML, CSS, and sometimes JavaScript, with techniques such as media queries, fluid grids, and flexible images. The layout adjusts itself based on the width of the screen, and the content remains the same regardless of the device.

Adaptive web design, on the other hand, involves creating multiple fixed layouts that are tailored to specific screen sizes or devices. These layouts are created using media queries and are served to the user based on the device they are using. The content may vary depending on the device, with some content being hidden or shown based on the layout.

Some key differences between responsive web design and adaptive web design include:

  • Flexibility: Responsive design is more flexible than adaptive design, as it can adapt to any screen size or resolution. Adaptive design is limited to the specific layouts that have been created, and may not work well on devices that fall outside of these ranges.
  • Development time: Creating multiple fixed layouts for adaptive design can be time-consuming, as it requires more design and development work. Responsive design, on the other hand, can be more efficient, as it involves creating a single layout that adjusts itself to fit any screen size.
  • Performance: Responsive design may have slightly better performance, as it avoids the need to load and switch between multiple layouts. Adaptive design requires the browser to load the appropriate layout based on the device, which can add some overhead.

Both responsive web design and adaptive web design have their own pros and cons, and the best approach will depend on the specific needs of the project.

The building blocks of responsive web development

This section covers the fundamentals of responsive website designs and their different components.

Responsive images

Responsive images are images that are designed to automatically adjust their size and display characteristics based on the device and display size of the user. This is important because it allows images to be displayed optimally on different devices with varying screen sizes and resolutions.

There are several ways to implement responsive images in HTML. One way is to use the srcset and sizes attributes on the img element. The srcset attribute allows you to specify a set of images with different widths and the sizes attribute will enable you to specify the size of the image in relation to the viewport. The browser will then choose the most appropriate image to display based on the available space and the device pixel ratio.

Another way to implement responsive images is to use the picture element. The picture element allows you to specify multiple source elements, each with its own srcset and media attributes. The media attribute allows you to specify a media query, and the srcset attribute allows you to specify a set of images with different widths. The browser will then choose the most appropriate source based on the media query and the device pixel ratio.

Media queries and responsive breakpoints

A media query is a CSS feature that allows you to apply styles based on the characteristics of the device or environment that the page is being displayed on. This allows you to create responsive designs that adapt to different devices and screen sizes.

For example, a website needs to support both desktop and mobile devices might have the following breakpoints:

  • A small breakpoint for phones (e.g. 320px)
  • A medium breakpoint for tablets (e.g. 768px)
  • A large breakpoint for desktop computers (e.g. 1024px)

At each of these breakpoints, the layout of the website might change to suit the dimensions of the display better. For example, the layout might switch from a three-column layout on a desktop to a single-column layout on a mobile device.

How to ensure your website will show properly across all web browsers

Follow these best practices:

  1. Test your website on multiple devices and browsers: It’s important to test your website on as many different devices and browsers as possible to ensure that it looks and functions correctly. You can use tools like BrowserStack or CrossBrowserTesting to test your website on a wide range of devices and browsers.
  2. Use responsive design techniques: By using responsive design techniques like responsive images, flexbox, CSS grid, and media queries, you can ensure that your website adjusts its layout and design to fit the dimensions of the viewport.
  3. Use feature detection: Some features that are supported by newer browsers might not be supported by older browsers. To ensure that your website functions properly on all browsers, you can use feature detection to check for the availability of specific features before using them.
  4. Use modern, well-supported technologies: It’s important to use modern, well-supported technologies when building your website, as these will be more likely to work correctly across different browsers. For example, using newer versions of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript will help ensure that your website functions properly on all browsers.
  5. Use a framework: Using a framework like Bootstrap or Foundation can make it easier to create responsive designs across different devices and browsers. These frameworks provide a set of pre-designed, tested and responsive components that you can use to build your website.

How to Start a Personal Training Business from Home

Do you like working out and being fit? Do you want to share your enthusiasm for fitness with others and get paid? Then a personal training business might be for you.

The market for fitness training is large and includes people of all ages, body types, and goals. Increased awareness of the importance of fitness has made the industry stable, with expected growth of 10% through 2026, according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics’ Occupational Outlook Handbook.

According to Payscale (2017), personal trainer rates are generally $9.96 to $49.30 an hour, with yearly earnings of $20,901 to $91,240.

Most personal trainers are aligned with gyms, community centers, or sports teams; however, many work for themselves, making house calls, working with their clients’ equipment, and bringing a minimum of their own supplies.

Some fitness instructors come with a health and exercise background, while others discover their interest in the industry through their own experience in fitness training. While a degree isn’t required to be a fitness trainer, certification is. Many organizations provide personal fitness certification, which covers anatomy, kinesiology, training techniques, and more.

Along with knowledge and experience in personal training, trainers should have good people skills to motivate their clients, as well as empathize with the challenges clients face. Many trainers focus on specific groups, such as seniors or athletes.

Pros of a Personal Trainer Home Business

Helping people reach their weight loss or fitness goals can be extremely satisfying. Other benefits of a home-based personal trainer business include:

  • Clientele for personal trainers tends to be on the wealthier side, which means the market has the money needed to pay for your services.
  • Freelance personal trainers have far greater earning potential than the fitness workers’ median average of $35,785 per year, which makes going on your own more profitable than being an employee of a gym or fitness facility.
  • You stay fit.
  • While you may have to travel to clients’ homes, business management can be done from your home. In some cases, you might be able to see clients in your home, but you’ll want to make sure you have adequate liability insurance to cover any injuries a client my sustain in your home, plus you need to check zoning requirements in your neighborhood regarding running a home business.

Cons of a Personal Trainer Home Business

Running a personal trainer business isn’t all about barking out squat counts. There are some challenges to consider before starting a personal training business such as:

  • It can take a while to grow a client base.
  • While the market usually has the money, it can be relatively small depending on where you live, making it hard to have enough clients to sustain your income goals.
  • Clients may be unmotivated or difficult to work with.
  • There is pressure to look the part because few people will hire a pudgy coach. This is one of those business ideas where you will need to practice what you preach.
  • Continuing education and re-certification is required every year or two years depending on your certification source.
  • You need to stay on top of research and trends related to fitness and health.
  • Potential for injury is high, requiring you to have very good insurance. This is especially true if you see clients in your home.

What You Need to Get Started in a Personal Trainer Home Business

If you’re still intrigued by starting a personal training business, getting started doesn’t take much time. Here’s what you need:

  • Experience in exercise and fitness. Most certification programs have the expectation that you know about exercise and fitness before you take the certification course. This experience can be through your own fitness journey.
  • Certification through a major authority such as the American College of Sports Medicine, the American Council on Exercise, the Aerobics and Fitness Association of America, or the National Strength and Conditioning Council.
  • CPR Certification through an official first aid certification authority. Most personal trainer certification programs require CPR certification. Check with fitness certification company for any specific knowledge it required beyond CPR, such as how to use an AED or first aid training.

How to Start Your Personal Training Business

The first step in starting a personal training business is to get certified. Once you’ve done that, you’ll need to set up your official business. Here’s how:

  • Register your business as a limited liability company (LLC) or other official entity beyond sole proprietor. This will protect your personal assets from your business assets if you happened to get sued.
  • Obtain a business license and other business-related requirements, such as zoning approval if you see clients in your home.
  • Buy good business insurance. Fitness has a high risk of injury so you want to protect yourself from lawsuits if a client gets hurt doing one of your recommended exercises.
  • Decide if you’ll target a specific market. For example, you can specialize in helping seniors stay fit and active or help runners achieve their goals. If you’ll work with a diverse market, make sure you have current knowledge about fitness in differing markets. Seniors require a different type of training than bodybuilders or teenagers.
  • Write a business plan outlining the details of your business, your target market, and how you’ll finance your business.
  • Create a marketing plan with strategies on how to get clients. Some options include offering a free 30-minute training session or evaluation, attend fitness fairs, and YouTube videos showing a specific fitness move.
  • Purchase equipment. While your clients may have some equipment, you’ll be expected to have your own as well.
  • Develop a system for getting referrals and testimonials. You might want to offer small group training, which can lower the cost for individual clients while getting you more clients to work with.

why we can’t get job. what is job guarantee

why we can’t get job. what is job guarantee

How do I guarantee a job?
So, here are three ways to practically guarantee you get the job:
Prove You’ll Earn Them More Than You Cost. Bigstock. Here’s the truth: You need to make your employer a profit. …
Provide Credible Proof That You Can Perform. Bigstock. …
Work To Learn, Not To Earn. Bigstock.

What are the causes of not having a job?

What Are the Main Causes of Unemployment? There are a number of reasons for unemployment. These include recessions, depressions, technological improvements, job outsourcing, and voluntarily leaving one job to find another.

Why full employment is impossible?
Image result for why we can’t get job. what is job guarantee
If there is any unemployment, then the economy is not producing at full potential, and some improvement in economic efficiency may be possible. However, because it may not be practically possible to eliminate all unemployment from all sources, full employment may not actually be attainable.

Does a job offer guarantee a job?

Technically, anyone can turn down a job offer, back out of a job already started, or renege on an acceptance at any point. Most states operate with what is called “at will employment.” This means the employee and the employer are not in a binding contract.

What should I do if I am not getting job?

Look at the job description and honestly ask yourself if you have the skills you’ll need to do the job—or get up to speed quickly—to ensure you’re not underqualified for the roles you’re targeting. That being said, job seekers usually do a fairly good job of making sure they’re qualified before applying to a role.

Why do companies reject you?

It’s not always about your qualifications and experience. Many companies are looking for someone with a specific type of personality. Companies reject candidates because they do not develop a good connection during the hiring process. They do not see you as someone who is the right fit for company culture

This style of offer encourages increased spending on your ecommerce store and further enhances customer loyalty.
