وزیر اعظم شہباز شریف نے جمعرات کو کہا کہ ملک کی آئی ٹی برآمدات برابر نہیں ہیں، اور متعلقہ حکام کو ہدایت کی کہ وہ پاکستان کی آئی ٹی برآمدات کو موجودہ 2.6 بلین ڈالر سے بڑھا کر اگلے تین سالوں میں 15 بلین ڈالر تک لے جانے کے لیے عملی اقدامات کریں۔

پاکستان میں آئی ٹی کے شعبے میں بہت زیادہ پوٹینشل موجود ہے جس سے فائدہ اٹھانے کی ضرورت ہے۔ آئی ٹی انڈسٹری قومی معیشت کی بہتری کے لیے حکومت کے شانہ بشانہ کھڑی ہے۔

آئی ٹی سیکٹر کے فروغ پر تبادلہ خیال کے لیے ایک اجلاس کی صدارت کرتے ہوئے وزیر اعظم نے کہا کہ آئی ٹی پروفیشنلز کی تعداد کو 0.6 ملین سے بڑھا کر 1.5 ملین کرنے کی ضرورت ہے۔ اسی مناسبت سے انہوں نے ہائر ایجوکیشن کمیشن، یونیورسٹیوں اور تربیتی اداروں کو ہدایت کی کہ وہ مذکورہ ہدف پر ترجیحی بنیادوں پر کام کرنے کے ساتھ ساتھ تعلیمی نصاب کو مارکیٹ کی ضروریات کے مطابق بہتر بنائیں۔

وزیر اعظم نے حکومت اور آئی ٹی انڈسٹری کے درمیان رابطوں پر غور کرنے اور صنعت کو درپیش مسائل کے حل کے لیے ایک قائمہ کمیٹی کی تشکیل کا بھی حکم دیا۔ کمیٹی میں آئی ٹی انڈسٹری، اسٹیٹ بینک آف پاکستان (ایس بی پی)، وزارت خزانہ، وزارت آئی ٹی اور دیگر متعلقہ محکموں کے نمائندے شامل ہوں گے۔

مزید برآں، وزیر اعظم شہباز نے آئی ٹی انڈسٹری پر زور دیا کہ وہ اپنا برآمدی محصول پاکستان میں لائے اور اسٹیٹ بینک، فیڈرل بورڈ آف ریونیو اور دیگر محکموں کو اس سلسلے میں موثر اقدامات کرنے کی ہدایت کی۔ انہوں نے متعلقہ حکام سے یہ بھی کہا کہ وہ آئی ٹی سیکٹر سے متعلق مسائل کے حل کے لیے موثر اقدامات کریں۔

Meta Launches New Way for Facebook Creators to Earn Money in Pakistan

Facebook Stars, Meta’s monetization feature for content creators, is now open to all eligible creators in Pakistan to help them connect with their audiences and build a business.

Stars, a digital good that fans can buy and send to support creators, will enable Pakistani online content creators to easily onboard, check their earnings by content type, manage their goals, and access other Stars settings. This tool is available across multiple formats: Facebook Reels, Facebook Live, on-demand videos, as well as photos and text posts.

“Helping creators to build community and turn their passions into professions is a key part of our continued investment in Pakistan,“ said Jordi Fornies, Meta’s Director of Emerging Markets for the Asia Pacific region. “Today, we are thrilled to announce that Facebook Stars is open to all eligible creators in Pakistan, so more people can start earning while they grow their creativity, audience, and careers.”

Earlier this year, Meta brought Reels to Pakistan, introducing short-form, entertaining video experiences and tools to creators and audiences. Today Reels is the fastest-growing content format on Meta platforms globally. There are more than 140 billion Reels played across Facebook and Instagram each day.

“We are encouraged to see Meta’s contribution to supporting local businesses in Pakistan and opening up different ways for Pakistani content creators to generate meaningful, reliable revenue on their platforms.
